Stacey L. Shea

Stacey earned her Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from Villanova University and her Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado Law School. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations, magna cum laude, from Texas Tech University.

Most recently, Stacey served as Director of Advanced Planning, working remotely with clients and financial advisors across multiple states to review estate planning needs and develop strategies addressing estate tax, asset protection, and wealth transfer goals. Prior to that, she was in private practice in the Greeley, Loveland, and Fort Collins areas, where she represented individuals, families, and companies in real estate, land use, and business transactions.

Stacey’s earlier legal career included serving as General Counsel and Personal Administrator for a family office in the Roaring Fork Valley and as an immigration attorney. Prior to making Colorado her forever home, she worked as a contractor researching legal and policy constraints related to information sharing and collaboration among intelligence agencies in Washington, D.C..

Before beginning her legal career, Stacey served in the U.S. Army Reserves as a Civil Affairs Sergeant, completing two tours in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and Operation Iraqi Freedom in Iraq. Her service included infrastructure planning and reconstruction project oversight in Afghanistan’s Paktika Province and civil-military operations support in Northern Iraq. She is a recipient of the Bronze Star.
