Bradley N. Kershaw

Overview

Bradley Kershaw represents both public and private water users in all aspects of water law, including Water Court matters, water-related transactions and acquisitions, and water supply planning and development.

He has focused on Colorado water law since 2017 and has successfully represented and defended his clients’ interests in Water Courts across Colorado, including in Water Divisions 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 and 7, and before the Colorado Ground Water Commission.  His experience encompasses all areas of water law, from simple diligence cases to applications for new water rights, complex changes of water rights, and exchanges and plans for augmentation.  Bradley enjoys advising public and private sector clients to successfully navigate and complete complex challenges and projects, and the mix of law, history, and science that his water law practice presents every day.

Bradley obtained his J.D. in 2018 from the University of Colorado Law School, where he earned the Order of the Coif distinction. Prior to law school, Bradley graduated cum laude with a B.S. degree in Political Science from Oklahoma State University. While in law school,  Bradley served as Lead Articles Editor of the Colorado Natural Resources, Energy, and Environmental Law Review and studied a range of natural resources law subjects. Bradley was awarded the John H. Schultz Wildcat Scholarship during his 3L year for his commitment to and academic performance related to natural resources law subjects (including an award for the Highest Academic Performance in Water Law in Spring 2017).

Before joining Lyons Gaddis, Bradley developed and honed his experience with boutique law firms specializing in water law and water-related property law.

Personal

Bradley lives in Superior with his family and dog (a Vizsla).  Outside of work, Bradley enjoys golfing, cooking and barbequing, sailing and boating, fly-fishing, international travel and exploring new places and cultures, and hiking and camping on public lands in the West.
