Robyn Smith is a dedicated member of the Real Estate Practice Group, where she advises clients on a wide range of transactional and regulatory matters. Her work spans land use and zoning, residential and commercial development and leasing, real estate sales and acquisitions, and business formation. Robyn’s practice is grounded in a deep respect for the critical role that real estate plays in shaping strong, thriving communities. She takes a relationship-driven approach to client service, getting to know each client’s goals and the communities they serve in order to provide tailored, thoughtful legal counsel.

Education & Experience

Before joining Lyons Gaddis, Robyn practiced Colorado water law at Vranesh and Raisch, LLP in Boulder. She represented private clients, special districts, and municipalities in water rights transactions, water court proceedings, and regulatory matters.

Robyn earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado and holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Romance Languages and International Affairs from the University of Georgia.

Prior to her legal career, Robyn worked in informal education, urban farming, and food systems, engaging with people from all walks of life. Her background in relationship-centered roles has reinforced her belief in the power of connection to foster collaboration and drive positive outcomes. She carries this perspective into her legal practice, always striving to create meaningful partnerships with her clients and the communities they serve.

Personal

Robyn lives in Longmont with her partner, Curt, and their young son. A former Brooklynite, she has embraced Colorado’s walkable lifestyle and can often be found biking or strolling through town, appreciating a slower pace of life—balanced, of course, with plenty of hiking and travel.
