Associate Attorney (0-6 years experience)

Lyons Gaddis, PC seeks an associate attorney to join our Estate Planning and Probate Group. We welcome candidates with a background in estate planning, probate and trust administration. However, we are willing to mentor and train the right person, including an attorney making a career change to this interesting and rewarding area of law, or a new graduate with a financial or tax background. Be part of a close-knit group who will invest in your long-term success.

JOB DETAILS:

  • Meet with clients to develop estate plans. Draft estate planning documents, including wills, trusts and powers of attorney, and advise clients on all aspects of their planning.
  • Consult with clients following a death to advise and assist them through the estate or trust administration process. Draft documents from open to close of probate and trust administration.
  • Assist with related work which may include tax planning, guardianships and conservatorship, marital agreements, and planning with real estate and business entities
  • Conduct legal research and develop legal strategies.
  • This position is based out of the Longmont office, with regular in-person client meetings.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salary Range:

Compensation is merit-based, as required by the Colorado Equal Pay Act. Our good faith salary range for this position is $97,000 to $132,000 dependent on experience, with an incentive bonus based on productivity which typically ranges from $5,000 to $40,000 or more annually.

Litigation Paralegal – Longmont

Lyons Gaddis is seeking a full-time Paralegal or Legal Assistant for their Litigation group. Work on interesting cases and wide variety of legal issues in a collaborative team-based work environment with professional and congenial colleagues. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in the legal profession, exceptional attention to detail, an outstanding work ethic, and enjoy learning new things every day.

Position requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of legal industry experience or relevant office management role
  • Excellent attention to detail on documents, emails, court filings, calendaring deadlines, proofreading, etc.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (especially MS Word and Excel) and Adobe in a Windows environment
  • Regular interaction with clients via the phone, email, and in-person with customer service focus.
  • Independently organize and prioritize time and tasks
  • Complete assignments independently with minimal oversight
  • Fast, accurate, keyboarding skills
  • Regular work hours
  • Familiarity with Tabs/Practice Master and CCES/Pacer/File and Serve programs is a plus.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the daily operations, answering phones, IT issues, scheduling and coordinating meetings/appointments, client intake of potential new clients
  • Maintain a professional and welcoming front desk environment
  • Greet clients and visitors warmly, in person and over the phone Opening and closing of the office
  • Backup to File Clerk and assist the admin team when needed
  • Ordering office supplies
  • Prepare, file, and organize firm documents
  • Picking up and dropping off mail from the post office
  • Scanning of mail and documents as needed
  • Ensure confidentiality and discretion
  • Respond to general inquiries or direct them to the appropriate department
  • Prepare outgoing mail, USPS, FedEx, UPS and manage courier services
