Anthony J. Basile


Tony is a member of the firm’s Water Practice Group. He has experience providing counsel to private individuals, corporations, municipalities, special districts, and governmental entities to acquire, develop, and defend interests in both land and water. This experience includes issues related to various property rights, such as title and historical use investigations, easements, rights of way, covenants, etc.

Education & Experience

Tony graduated with honors from Saint Louis University in 2007 with a B.A. in Communications. He earned his J.D. from the University of Denver in 2011. He then gained litigation experience clerking for Denver District Court Judge Ann Frick and working with a large insurance defense firm in Denver. He honed his water law skills at a Denver water law firm, where he represented landowners, developers, special districts, and a major Front Range municipality with a large water portfolio.

Community Involvement & Organizations

Member of the Executive Council for the Colorado Bar Association’s Water Law Section.

Cub Scouts of America, working with his son annually on the Pinewood Derby project.


Tony has presented on Colorado water rights topics at the 2019 Land Title Association of Colorado Spring School, the 2020 Rocky Mountain Surveyor Summit, and numerous Front Range real estate firms.


Tony is married and has two boys.  A native of Wisconsin, he currently lives in Highlands Ranch.
