Office Clerk

Longmont law firm is seeking a full time Office Clerk

Professional office, great working environment, and benefits package including health insurance, 401(k) plan, and a PTO program that grows with employees.  We look forward to adding another valued member to our team.  This team member will support the attorneys and paralegals in the transactional group.  

Duties include:

Paralegal for Growing Law Firm: Real Estate& Business Transactions

Lyons Gaddis is looking for a transactional paralegal.  This position plays a key role in the success of our business and real estate practice.  The transactional paralegal will work closely with the attorneys in the transaction group in support of the work we do for our clients.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2+ years prior legal assistant, paralegal, or comparable experience in business and real estate transactions.
  • Communication: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Respond promptly to attorney and client requests for service and assistance.
  • Dependability: follow instructions; complete tasks on time; work independently.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of legal terminology, legal documents, and legal processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong computer proficiency in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), Adobe, e-Filing, and database software.
  • Ability and desire to handle and complete assignments
  • Organized self-starter.
  • Able to prioritize and handle busy workloads and deadlines.
  • Able to remain flexible and demonstrate a desire to learn and grow.
  • Proactively apply problem-solving skills.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Client contact, on telephone and in person.
  • Title and survey review.
  • Preparation of real estate forms and other legal documents.
  • Filing documents as appropriate with various state and county authorities.
  • Regularly anticipates the needs of assigned attorneys to promote timekeeper efficiencies (i.e., drafts correspondence, prepares probate documents in advance).
  • Assists attorneys with completing and tracking CLE compliance, presentations and training programs, other business development activities, and organizing all other non-billable activities.
  • Finalize documents for execution and proofread all documents independently and effectively to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Document creation with lawyer support, proofreading and revising documents.
  • General support as needed for the transactional team.
  • Maintain and organize files in an orderly manner.
  • Effectively manage and monitor calendaring of deadlines and key dates.
