Local Government/School/Special District Attorney
The Longmont, Colorado office of Lyons Gaddis has an opening for an experienced public sector attorney to join the firm’s government practice group, which represents schools and special districts. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in public sector work, judicial clerkship, or other relevant fellowship or internship with a desire to practice education law and local government work. Candidates will have a passion for providing exceptional client service, developing strong client and community connections, and either live in Northern Colorado or be willing to relocate.

Paralegal: Estate Planning and Probate
The Longmont office of Lyons Gaddis is currently seeking a Paralegal to support several attorneys in our estate planning and probate group. The responsibilities are varied, and will include the following: drafting, proofing, and revision of wills, trust and other estate planning forms, client interaction, calendaring, coordination of files and assisting with all aspects of estate administration. This position will also support attorneys in the transactional group as needed on real estate and business matters and advising nonprofit entities.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- At least 2 years’ experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or comparable experience; probate experience is preferred
- Communication: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Respond promptly to attorney and client requests for service and assistance
- Dependability: follow instructions; complete tasks on time; work independently
- Demonstrate knowledge of legal terminology, legal documents, and legal processes
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong computer proficiency in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), Adobe, e-Filing, and database software

- Regularly anticipates the needs of assigned attorneys to promote timekeeper efficiencies
(i.e., drafts correspondence, follows up with clients for information)
- Finalize documents for execution and proofread all documents independently and effectively to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Document creation with lawyer support, proofreading, and revising documents.
- Maintain and organize files in an orderly manner
- Effectively manage and monitor calendaring of deadlines and key dates
